Yelp yesterday revealed its ninth annual list of the top places to eat in Canada, and this year’s winners are a diverse mix of restaurants from across the country.

The top spot went to Chen Chen’s Nashville Hot Chicken in Toronto, known for its spicy fried chicken and traditional Southern sides. Other top spots included Buvette Scott in Quebec City, Manoush’eh in Vancouver, and Grandma Loves You in Toronto.

This year’s list also featured a number of returning favorites, including The Northern Cafe and Grill in Toronto and New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse in Montreal.

Breakfast and brunch were trending among this year’s Canadian crowd, with ten spots on the list falling in the breakfast and brunch categories on Yelp. Beloved restaurants for breakfast on this year’s list included The Diner House 29, Clementine, and L’Avenue, which boasts over 1,000 reviews. Other popular cuisines represented include Middle Eastern with seven restaurants and Indian with five.

Yelp is a crowdsourced review website for businesses, primarily restaurants. Users can post reviews, photos, and videos of local businesses, and other users can vote on the helpfulness of these reviews. Yelp also offers business owners the opportunity to create a free profile for their business and respond to reviews.
