Honor teases first handset featuring collaboration with Porsche Design

Last week, Honor and Porsche Design announced a partnership in which they would be working together on new devices that would take advantage of Porsche Design’s designs, and now it looks like the first product will come in the form of a smartphone.

This is according to a post on X as well as several other posts on Weibo by various Honor executives teasing the upcoming phone. The handset in question is the Magic 6 but it will now bear a slightly different look thanks to the partnership between both companies. The teaser doesn’t really reveal much except for the Porsche Design branding on the back.

Porsche Design has worked together with various other smartphone brands in the past, most notably BlackBerry back in the day, and also with Huawei, who was once the parent company of Honor before Honor was spun off and became its own entity.

The Magic 6 is also expected to consist of multiple devices including the base Magic 6 model, the Magic 6 Pro, and the Magic 6 Porsche Design. It will be interesting to see what the final product could look like, but it looks like we’ll probably have to wait until January 2024, possibly during CES 2024, for the full reveal.
