Best way to farm Tech Parts in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

You need over 3,000 Tech Parts to just unlock all the suits in Spider-Man 2, not to mention the gadget upgrades. Luckily, there are three main ways to get Tech Parts in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

  1. Complete missions
  2. Complete crime activities (and their bonus objective)
  3. Open Tech Crates

Complete missions for Tech Parts

You’ll earn Tech Parts by completing missions, but not every mission gives you Tech Parts. The missions that reward Tech Parts are campaign missions, FNSM Requests, EMF Experiments, Hunter Blinds, and Spider-Bots.

By completing any of the missions listed above, you’ll earn Tech Parts. You’ll be completing all the missions in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 just to experience the stories and have fun playing the game, so it’s nice that the missions double as a source of Tech Parts.

Complete crime activities and their bonus objectives for Tech Parts

Crime is a constant in Spider-Man 2, and it’s a great source of Tech Parts. Crime activities procedurally pop up while you’re swinging and gliding around the open world and their only reward is Tech Parts, so it’s good to do them every now and again to pocket Tech Parts.

Every crime activity also has a bonus objective that is displayed on the screen. Before you start fighting, I recommend checking that bonus objective, which is usually stuff like use three gadgets or throw two enemies, as completing those will grant you more Tech Parts when you complete the crime activity.

The crime activities can get a little repetitive and bland, but the ones I recommend completing every time are the car chases. These crime activities are extremely easy and can be over in a matter of seconds. Because of that, they can be the most painless way to farm Tech Parts in Spider-Man 2.

Open Tech Crates for Tech Parts

Scattered around the open world are blue Tech Crates. You’ll notice them on rooftops and in alleyways. It can be tedious to stop, do the open animation, and score Tech Parts from Tech Crates, but if you do that here and there, you’ll be grateful because you’ll always have Tech Parts to unlock new suits and upgrade your gadgets and skills.

To make Tech Crate hunting much easier in Spiderman 2, I recommend unlocking the sixth upgrade in the Suit Tech Traversal upgrades path first. The upgrade on the top is called All Seeing and it allows Tech Crates to appear on your mini-map. This makes farming Tech Parts from Tech Crates much easier because you don’t have to manually search for them.
