San Diego Gas & Electric completed repairs Saturday on a ruptured gas pipeline in Poway Saturday, and crews were going door-to-door to restore natural gas service to about 430 customers.

The utility advised residents not to relight the pilot light themselves, saying employees will leave a callback number if residents are not home when utility crews visit.

The Poway Fire Department received a call at 9:48 a.m. Friday about a construction crew that was digging and struck a 4-inch gas main near the intersection of Pomerado Road and Holland Road. About 530 homes were evacuated, covering a roughly two-mile radius around the leak that occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Pomerado and Holland roads. The evacuation orders were lifted at about 5 p.m. Friday.

Pomerado Road was closed from Leone Way to Vaughan Road. Powers Road and Frame Road were closed at Vaughan Road. Holland Road, Glenoak Road and Frame Road were also impacted. Some of the closures remained in effect even after the evacuation order was lifted Friday evening.

No injuries were reported.
