Brightline service in between Fort Lauderdale and Miami was interrupted Thursday early morning for several hrs after a bridge around the New River malfunctioned.
“Brightline has resumed normal functions amongst all South Florida stations,” the company introduced on Twitter about 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The business experienced introduced three hours previously that its practice provider was stopped from Fort Lauderdale, Aventura and Miami.
Until then, Brightline trains had operated with only “limited support northbound” involving the stations in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach front, the organization explained.
Brightline reported the assistance interruption was due to “an functioning challenge at the New River Bridge in Fort Lauderdale.”
The New River Bridge was “malfunctioning” Thursday early morning and undergoing repairs, Fort Lauderdale police declared Thursday.
“Marine website traffic is impacted and boaters should be expecting delays in the area,” the company tweeted. “Vehicular targeted traffic in the location is not impacted at this time.”
Repairs ended up ongoing Thursday afternoon, but “the bridge has been stabilized enough to permit teach targeted visitors,” claimed Detective Ali Adamson, a spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale law enforcement office.
